In my constructions I layer painted organic shapes in contrasting materials inspired by the forms, colors and textures found in nature, in the ever changing moment. Embracing a wabi-sabi aesthetic, I find beauty in the imperfection and expression of impermanence in eroded natural objects.  My experience as a textile designer is evident in the color harmony, rhythm, pattern and balance I seek to create in my work, as well as the inclusion of sewn and soft materials.  I like to think of each assemblage as an object and a fragment itself, part of a larger whole, tapping into a universal feeling of all belonging to the same fabric.
